How to find library materials

• NAOJ OPAC (Library catalog)

  Search the NAOJ OPAC for library materials, except for rare books, held by the NAOJ libraries. For rare books please click on the “Rare Materials”(Japanese only) link in the navigation menu on the library homepage.

  Library catalogs of universities and research institutions in Japan are accessible through Webcat by the National Information Science Institute.

  Search NDL OPAC for materials held by the Library of the National Diet of Japan.

• Aerospace Information Reference system EXternal version (AIREX)

  AIREX (Aerospace Information Reference External Version) is the system for public use of both domestic and international documentary records mainly regarding aerospace. Service for registered members.

  You can easily cross-search not only literature, but also research data from external collaborating institutions, institutional repositories, etc., as well as KAKEN's research project information, through a simple interface.

• KAKEN

  Database of Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research established and provided by the NII, MEXTand JSPS, is granted whole field of science, and this database provides the latest information of the research projects in Japan exhaustively.

• GRANTS

  Comprehensive search service for research projects granted by programs that promote research and development based on national policies, regardless implementing agencies or programs.

• IRDB (Institutional Repositories Database)

  Database of Japanese institutional repositories contains academic information (articles, theses, bulletin papers, etc.).

• Web of Science

  This is a database of articles in major academic journals of all subject fields. It allows you to find articles citing these works or that share a common reference, as well as to limit a search by keywords.

• Journal Citation Reports

  Journal Citation Reports offers a systematic, objective means to critically evaluate the world's leading journals, with quantifiable, statistical information based on citation data. Available in Science and Social Sciences editions.

Electronic journals

  The Library subscribes to over 4,000 titles of journals in the literature of astronomy and space science. The full text of the journals is accessible at local terminals on campus. Also, journal and magazine subscription lists can be found at the library website.
