Open Access Support and NAOJ Repository

Overview

We provide support information for Open Access, such as for NAOJ faculty and staff to make their own papers and writings Open Access, to publish the evidence data/research data for their papers, and to digitize and publish valuable materials held by the library.

Open Access (OA) refers to activities that enable anyone to freely access academic information and papers via the Internet. There are two types of OA: Green OA, which is to publish in a research results platform (e.g., institutional repository), and Gold OA, which is to open access by paying an article processing charge (APC).
When submitting an article to a journal, you may be charged an APC for making the article open access, but you may be eligible for a waiver or discount depending on NAOJ library's e-journal agreement.
